Can you build one every year?
A world is per-occasion rather than a subscription, so some people build one a year and let the sealed chest in each carry a message into the next. The link from three years ago still opens.
If this is a first anniversary the gallery will be short, and that is fine - the empty frame does more work when there are only five pictures beside it. If it is a twentieth, use the photo line for the ones that would never survive a curated book.

You send the link yourself, so it arrives exactly when you send it - no delivery window to miss. The sealed chest is the part you schedule: pick a date and it opens then, including an anniversary a year out.
Do they need an app or an account?
No. It opens in the browser already on their phone, with nothing to install and no sign-up for them. If their device cannot render 3D, the same world opens as a scrolling page with every photo and word intact.
Can we walk it together if we are apart?
Yes, and it is a common way to send it. You each open the link on your own screen while you are on a call. Shared live avatars are still on the roadmap, so you are in the same place at the same time rather than sharing one body.
Can we add to it next year?
You build a new one - it takes fifteen minutes and the old link keeps working, so what accumulates is a series rather than a single edited file. Several people now have three.
